About me
I’m Josija Matter, a photographer based in Lucerne. I used to use digital cameras, but now I shoot exclusively in 35mm (and hopefully 120mm soon). And yep, I’m still learning too.
Motivation:
I like to capture the beauty of the ordinary. Nowadays, our world moves so rapidly, which is why I like to take my time and appreciate the simple things in life. I shoot whatever I find interesting, and often (more often than not), the pictures end up unusable... yet, I still like to think I had some kind of greater idea when I took the shot—a vision that just didn’t work out in the end. My personal motivation lies in the moment when a picture actually turns out exactly the way I envisioned it. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing that negative.
